Unfortunately we don’t have a lot of information on George apart from the photograph and what can be gleaned from the census records. George is listed in the 1891 census as aged 12 and a scholar. His father is William, post master and mother is Helen. Also staying in the household are sisters, Isobella, Nellie and Maggie and brother Thomas. By 1901 he has moved frm Argyle street and is staying at Holm farm.
