Additional Information:
Son of John and Elizabeth Stewart of 17 Hill Road. Matthew was wounded during attack on small village of Sequhart on 2-3rd October 1918. He was taken to a field dressing station before being transferred to the Australian General Hospital at Rouen where he died of his wounds.
His brother Archibald was also killed in 1917 at the Battle of Arleux.
