Robert Craig, served in the Royal Horse Artillery 1914-18. Formerly of Boghall Street.
He was the lead rider on the gun crew on horse drawn artillery. He shipped of Liverpool in 1914 and fought on the western front. He survived the war and married Janet Imrie Mathieson. They lived in Camnethan Street. He was the foreman at Wilson’s and was the local scout master who was responsible for having the scout hall built.
